MISSION STATEMENT FOR
SPIRIT & LIFE FAMILY BIBLE CHURCH
THE HEALING CHURCH FOR ALL NATIONS

UNITY OF G
OD (GODHEAD) This consists of three persons: God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son and the Holy Ghost, perfectly united as one indivisible God.
(Matthew 3:16-17: “When He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to HIM, and HE saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon HIM. 17 And suddenly a voice came from heaven saying. “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”)
(Matthew 28:19 “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.”)
( 1 John 5:7  “For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word in heaven and the Holy Spirit; and these tree are one.”).

DEITY OF GOD

Jesus Christ is the Son of the Living God sent from heaven by the Father, was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born by the virgin Mary, was baptized, taught us about the Father and heaven, was crucified, died on the cross, was buried, rose from the dead ascended into heaven and will come a second time to earth to take the redeemed to heaven where He has gone to prepare a place for them.
(Mark 16:19 “So then, after the Lord had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God.”)
(1 Corinthians 15:4 “and that HE was buried, and that HE rose again the third day according to the Scriptures,”)
(John 14:23 “Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves ME, he will keep MY word; and MY Father will love him, and WE will come to him and make Our home with him.”).

WE BELIEVE IN HOLY & RIGHTEOUS LIVING (SANCTIFICATION) Through the unadulterated word of God which is truth (John 17:16-17 “They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. 17 Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth.”) it says that sanctification is of the whole life: Spirit, Soul and Body.

(1 Thessalonians 5:23 “Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.”). Sanctification is a progressive work of grace (Acts 20:32 “So now, brethren, I commend you to God and to the word of HIS grace, which is able to build you up and give you and inheritance among all those who are sanctified”). (1 Corinthians 6:11 “And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God”).

HOLINESS IN THE CHURCH (2 Corinthians 11:2 “For I am jealous for you with godly jealousy. For I have betrothed you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ”, Ephesians 5:17 “Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is”).

Repentance from and confession of sins as a first step in entering into the family and kingdom of God. Baptism of water unto repentance and confession of sins. (Matthew 3:11 “I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.” , Matthew 28:19, Mark 16:16 “He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.”, Acts 19:3-4 “And he said to them, “Into what then were you baptized?” So they said, “Into Johns baptism”. 4 Then Paul said, John indeed baptized with a baptism of repentance, saying to the people that thy should believe on HIM who would come after him that is, on Christ Jesus”).

The significance of which is that we are baptized into Christ’s death and are buried with Him and raised from the dead by the glory of the Father to walk in the newness of life (Romans 6:3-4 “Or do you not know that as many of us were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into HIS death? 4 Therefore we were buried with HIM through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.”). Therefore baptism should be by immersion in a river.

THAT SALVATION IS A FREE GIFT OF GOD Salvation is a free gift of God to believers by grace through obedient faith in Christ Jesus (Titus 2:11-12 “For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, 12 teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age,” Romans 1:5  “Through HIM we have received grace and apostleship for obedience to the faith among all nations for HIS name”, Ephesians 2:5-8 “even we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ , 6 and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, 7 that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of HIS grace in HIS kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. 8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God”). That salvation is the act whereby God forgives our sins and makes us to stand before Him as though we had never sinned.

BAPTISM OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

For the endowment of power from heaven and is evidenced by speaking in tongues as the spirit gives utterance and for living holy lives unto good works and witness for Jesus.
(Acts 1:8 “But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you: and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth”, Luke 24:24, Acts 10:38 “..how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with HIM”).

THE FULL COMPLEMENT OF THE GIFTS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

(1 Corinthians 12:1 “Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I do not want you to be ignorant”, Romans 12:3-9 “For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith. 4 For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function, 5 so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another, 6 Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, let us prophesy in proportion to our faith: 7 or ministry, let us use it in our ministering: he who teaches, in teaching: 8 he who exhorts, in exhortation; he who gives, with liberality; he who leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness”).
Regeneration as a spiritual experience which comes from above and which quickens us together with Christ, the evidence of which is the fruit of the Spirit. (Ephesians 2:1-5, 1 John 3:14 “We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love the brethren. He who does not love his brother abides in death”, Galatians 5:22-23 “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law”).

DIVINE HEALING OF THE SOUL (ALL MANNERS OF SICKNESS & DISEASES) Which comes through the atonement and by anointing oil (if necessary). (Mark 6:13 “And they cast out many demons, and anointed with oil many who were sick, and healed them”, James, 5:14-16″Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. 15 And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven”, 1 Peter 2:24 “who Himself bore our sins in HIS own body on the tree, that we having died to sins, might live for righteousness – by whose stripes you were healed.”).

THAT MARRIAGE IS FOR LIFE AS AN INSTITUTION THAT GOD HIMSELF ORDAINED God meant marriage to be a means of mutual love and procreation between one man and one woman.
(Mark 10:6-12 “But from the beginning of the creation, God made them male and female. 7 For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, 8 and the two shall become one flesh: so then they are no longer two, but one flesh. 9 Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate”, Romans 7:1-3).

RESTITUTION As a necessary step after we have been saved in order to make peace with man. (Matthew 5:23-24 “Therefore if you bring your gift to the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you, 24 leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.”).

THE LORD’S SUPPER As an ordinance instituted by Jesus Christ as a constant reminder of His death until He returns.
(Matthew 26:26-29 “And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to the disciples and said, “Take, eat: this is MY body.” 27 Then HE took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you. 28 For this is MY blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. 29 But I say to you, I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it new with you in My Fathers kingdom.”, 1 Corinthians 11:26 “For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lords death till HE comes”).
Spirit & Life Bible Church conducts this as a separate service once every two months (8 weeks).

SECOND COMING OF JESUS CHRIST
As an event, which is very imminent and which will be as literal and visible as His going away; first to make home His spotless Church and secondly to execute judgement upon the ungodly.

(Acts 1:9-11 “Now when HE had spoken these things, while they watched, HE was taken up, and a cloud received HIM out of their sight. 10 And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as HE went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel, 11 who also said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same JESUS, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw HIM go into heaven.”)
(1 Thessalonians 4:15-17 “For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. 16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God, And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord”. )

(2 Thessalonians 1:7-10 “For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work: only HE who now restrains will do so until HE is taken out of the way. 8 And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of HIS mouth and destroy with the brightness of HIS coming. 9 The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, 10 and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved.”)

THE GREAT COMMISSION UPON SALVATION It becomes mandatory upon every believer to go and teach and preach the gospel to all nations. Failure to do so amounts to disobedience; and all disobedience is sin.

(Matthew 28:19-20 “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. 20 teaching them to observe all tings that I have commanded you and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” AMEN.)
(Mark 16:15-18)

(1 Corinthians 9:16-17 “For if I preach the gospel, I have nothing to boast of, for necessity is laid upon me: yes, woe is me if I do not preach the gospel! 17 For if I do this willingly, I have a reward: but if against my will, I have been entrusted with a stewardship.”).

Heaven is the final destination of all believers (John 14:1-3 “Let not your heart be troubled: you believe in God, believe also in ME. 2 In MY Fathers house are many mansions; if  it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I AM, there you may be also.”)
